Internship - Underwriting Department

Job Summary: 
This Program is designed to provide students with an insight into Insurance industry through on the-job training and mentoring. You will join our Underwriting Team at our Hong Kong office and get the opportunity to participate in impactful projects and get the chance to explore and gain understanding of a career in Insurance & Underwriting/Product take ownership of projects or initiatives with real-world impact and visibility gain exposure to working with a long-standing authorized insurer backed by a reputable Global Fortune 500 company.

Job Duties:
You will have the opportunity to contribute in various areas, including but not limited to:

• pricing (market intelligence, pricing strategy recommendation)
• product (new product development/extension, existing product revamp, research)
• underwriting projects (gain insights regarding portfolio management & risk selection)
• other strategic / tactical initiatives (operation / process improvement, application development & ideation/design thinking)

Job Requirements: 

• University students, major in business/insurance/actuarial science/mathematics preferred but not a must 
• Demonstrates strong intellectual curiosity, willing to take ownership in work and deliverables, and most importantly can act with humility and integrity. 
• Prior insurance knowledge or background not necessary 
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
• Fluent spoken and written English and Chinese
