Successful candidate will lead a small team of Pricing and Portfolio Management and report to our Chief Product Officer, Product Personal Lines (Asia Market). He/she will evaluate and review best practices in A&H portfolio business management together with Business units to support the Accident and Health portfolio monitoring process, tools, and risk management framework.
MAIN JOB DUTIES: Pricing:- Responsible for technical pricing for both Individual and Group Accident & Health Lines of business across the four countries of Asia Market
- Leverage best practices in pricing tools and modeling and customizing them for the region.
- Define Renewal Strategy KPIs for Corporate SME and Individual Portfolio, Large Account Pricing.
- Establish Data Analytics capabilities for Health, analyze interpret the health reports and, communicate key findings and drive actions based on them.
Planning and P&L Overview:- Lead the Accident & Health Portfolio Planning and Portfolio management across all the segments of Health Insurance, including Corporate, SME, and Individual
- Support the Chief Product officer in the strategic planning and regular business reviews of A&H strategy and actions to manage key business risk with local/regional/and global stakeholders.
- Lead the Planning Cycle of the Health Portfolio along with the Finance with bottom-up approach for both top and bottom-line projections.
- Lead management of the Portfolio Management process, including maintenance of the PMP tool and reporting to the Executive committee.
- Authorize and Validate KPIs definition and methodology affecting financial figures (like FWA, Provider negotiations)
- Ensure all the operational aspects of the Portfolio Management Process are discussed and agreed upon with the relevant stakeholders, including Finance, Underwriters, and claims Operations.
- Monitor the Health sales performance versus forecasts, analyse discrepancies, identify trends, and develop action points.
- Lead the study on critical assumptions on Inflation, Expenses, and Rate changes regularly.
- Ensure all the validated assumptions are communicated to respective users and are monitored regularly through the portfolio management process.
Other Key Responsibility:- Participate in the Underwriting committee supporting the Underwriting committee with impact analysis on the portfolio.
- Liaise and the Actuarial team on reserving and pricing process with inputs from the Business unit.
- Validate and authorize all the Business cases for Health Line of business.
- Lead the Product Committee on monthly basis
MAIN REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economic or related disciplines
- Minimum of 8-year experience in product & pricing development or underwriting in insurance industry, focusing on product management in Life & Medical, PA and Travel products
- Proven track record and solid experience in underwriting, risk management and portfolio management for Group and Individual business for both Local and IPMI A&H products.
- Exposure to in regional underwriting and pricing management will be an added advantage
- Able to collaborate with stakeholders to drive positive business outcomes
- Exceptional planning, analytical, decision-making and communication skills
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English
